Cuxhaven terminus – the train journey ends here at the terminal station. From the station, you can either take a taxi directly to us (cost approx. € 8), or take the bus to Lichtenbergplatz square. From there, simply walk a couple of minutes to reach our establishments.

Alternatively, you can walk the entire way (approx. 40 minutes):

• From the station, turn right onto Konrad-Adenauer-Allee in the direction of “Alte Liebe”/Fährhafen (viewing platform/harbours).

1. At the third traffic lights (Deichstraße junction) turn right onto the dyke and continue until you reach the pedestrian bridge.

• Continue down the dyke to the former weather station (red brick building with tower)

2. Turn left on the dyke in the direction of Fährhafen/Kugelbake (harbours/Ball Beacon)

• Continue past the harbours and cross the road in the direction of Kugelbake (Ball Beacon)

3. Pass by the sea terraces and continue down the dyke on the cycle path, past the imperial riding arena, now a sports hall

… and then it’s the second or fourth house. Welcome! You’ve arrived!

If you don’t have GPS in your car, then print out the following directions because, although we’re located very centrally, our establishments are rather tricky to find. Don’t mistake the Döser Seedeich dyke for the address “Am Seedeich”!

So here are the instructions – it’s quite easy – just drive straight ahead and turn right twice.

You will either be coming from the B73 main road (from Hamburg) or the A27 motorway (from Bremen), and will arrive at the Cuxhaven roundabout. Here, take the exit marked Cuxhaven town centre and continue as follows:

STRAIGHT AHEAD

• Papenstraße
• Level crossing
• Grodener Chaussee (car showrooms, McDonalds)
• Keep right, Wernerstraße
• Meyerstraße
• Konrad-Adenauer-Allee (pass the railway station on your right)
• Continue through some traffic lights, and drive straight on until you reach Karl-Olfers-Platz

TURN RIGHT FOR THE FIRST TIME

1. Turn right here onto Werner-Kamman-Straße

• Kirchenpauerstraße
• Past the ESSO garage

2. 90° left-hand bend, Marienstraße (former Grimmershörn barracks on your right)

• Turn right by the church

TURN RIGHT FOR THE SECOND TIME

3. Turn right onto Deichtrift (drive towards the dyke)

• Turn left at the end of the road

… and then it’s the second or fourth house. Welcome! You’ve arrived!

The ships from Hamburg, Heligoland or the Neuwerk island dock by the “Alte Liebe” viewing platform.

From here, continue in the direction of the harbours and onwards (approx. 10-15 min. on foot to our hotels)…

Harbours: You’ll arrive at the harbours on the sea resort steamer from Heligoland. We’re just a few minutes away on foot.

• At the harbours, cross onto the dyke
• Turn right in the direction of Kugelbake (Beacon Ball)
• Pass the sea terraces
• Then continue down the dyke on the cycle path, past the imperial riding arena, now a sports hall. … and then it’s the second or fourth house.
